PROJECT MANAGER / SCRUM MASTER

Job Description:
  • Guide teams in adopting lean/agile principles such as collaboration, continuous improvement and self-governance
  • Work to remove impediments from current sprints
  • Facilitate daily scrum meetings
  • Ensure effective communication among stakeholders involved in the project or feature release
  • Produce burn down and velocity reports
  • Overseeing the execution and delivery of cross functional projects
  • Facilitate project kick off meetings with key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of scope, project team, roles and communication plan
  • Work with the Product Managers on an ongoing basis, keeping them informed of key milestones and decisions impacting the overall project
  • Lead, participate, and support the various Agile based SDLC and scrum activities
  • Coordinates and facilitates end of sprint demonstrations other sprint closure processes
  • Facilitates sprint retrospectives with team to ensure continuous improvement & removal of blockers
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate as a member of the IS management team through support and ownership of issues
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with the business community, understanding their informational and operational needs while ensuring they are informed of documented IS development policies
  • Follow established Project Life Cycle (PLC) policies to develop project documentation, and project plans that specify goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources
  • Document and/or assist in documenting current and future state business processes in conjunction with the business partners
  • Work with IT staff to document technical designs and coordinate design reviews
  • Formulate and define scope, schedule milestones, tasks and objectives of project
  • Prepare and present the statement of work and proposals for project activities in conjunction with account management
  • Ensure the development of quality assurance test plans and monitors or directs quality assurance testing as required
  • Provide reporting and updates on project status, budget impacts and status of objectives to IS management and business units as necessary
  • Direct, coordinate and monitor activities of internal and external project resources to ensure projects progress within set parameters, schedule, budget and goals
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:

PMP, CSM, PMI, CSP, SCRUM, CAPM, SCM, SA, SPC, ACP

  • Certified Agile accreditation via a recognised industry source
  • Experience in the use of Jira or equivalent Agile Project management software
  • Experience of other development methods, ie Prince would also be valuable in relating to other team members who use these techniques to deliver their business objectives
  • 3+ years prior experience as an IT Project Manager and/or Scrum Master
  • PMP or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) a plus
  • Must have recent and active Agile expertise
